For over 30 years, Kevin S. Alfaro has provided tax and consulting services to Napa and Sonoma counties. Kevin entered public accounting in 1990 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1992. He subsequently obtained his MS in taxation in 1996. Kevin spent many of his early years handling complex tax matters for Ernst & Young and Price Waterhouse but ultimately settled in the Napa Valley and established a thriving practice with G & J Seiberlich & Co. LLP. After almost 15 years with G&J, Kevin started his own firm, Brown Holder Alfaro LLP, and continued providing creative and sound advice to much of the wine community until he decided to accept an in-house position as CFO with Caymus Vineyards. Kevin worked with various Wagner family entities as CFO and COO from 2012 – 2017 where he provided tax, financial, production and operational guidance to the family and assisted them with numerous land and business acquisitions. He also was the lead advisor on the sale of the Meiomi wine brand to a publicly traded company for $315mm. From May 2020 – 2022 Kevin was CFO at Neft Vodka USA, Inc. a multi-national vodka company. During his time in-house, Kevin learned the details of the wine and liquor industries from the inside, but ultimately decided to move back into the consulting sphere.
Kevin has always been an active member of the community and has been or is on the governing board of private wineries (including Pride Mountain Vineyards and Cannonball Wine Company), the Napa County Independent Taxpayer Oversight Committee, Napa Valley Country Club, St. Helena Unified School District, Napa Community Bank (now Rabobank/Mechanics Bank), Napa Valley Wine Auction, Napa Valley Wine Library Association, Boys and Girls Club of St. Helena and Calistoga, St. Helena Nursery School Cooperative, and the Napa County Education Foundation. In his free time, Kevin enjoys playing tennis and golf, traveling around the world, and learning foreign languages.
